With Ptec's shop fittings, customers find the right product at Autoexperten

Autoexperten is a nationwide Swedish chain with 400 workshops and 54 stores. The Värnamo store, run by Christoffer Elmersson and P-O Andersson, sells accessories and spare parts for cars and trailers. To find out more about the business, we had a chat with Christoffer.

How did your journey at Autoexperten begin?
Together with P-O Andersson, I founded Autoexperten in Värnamo in 2019. My colleague was not unfamiliar with Autoexperten because he had worked within the group for 15 years. I myself have experience from the automotive industry where I have worked as a car mechanic.

What's the best thing about your job? What makes your heart beat a little extra?
I think the best thing is that I get to meet and talk to so many different people. Problem solving is another matter. I really like being able to help solve problems for different customers. Hopefully they are very happy afterwards, haha.

What is important to you when choosing a supplier?
The most important thing is probably that they're flexible and that you easily come into contact with each other. Of course, price structure is an important factor, but in the long run, level of service is more important. Since we ourselves have our customers in a 50 km radius around Värnamo, we want to support local suppliers.

Speaking of suppliers - how did you get in touch with Ptec?
I'm familiar with Marcus, who works at Ptec, so it came quite naturally.

How was the project/assignment handled?
It was handled smoothly and well. Professional without any worries. When we discovered that we needed to supplement with parts, there were no complications, it was solved easily.

Which features of Ptec do you value most?
I feel like I'm being annoying, but the fact that it's easy and flexible to be in contact with Ptec is a big plus. We at Autoexperten maintain a high level of service towards our customers and I expect the same from our suppliers. Ptec is a small company with great commitment. No awkward contact routes, but you talk directly to the owner, just like with us.

We are curious, how does the Autoexperten in Värnamo maintain a high level of service?
We always try to provide the best service. You get help quickly. An example of that is our delivery vans. They serve business customers daily within a 50 km radius. One loop serves customers in Skillingaryd-Gnosjö-Anderstorp-Gislaved-Smålandsstenar, and the other one serves customers in Ljungby-Rydaholm-Vrigstad. Sometimes we run the same loop twice on the same day. Our ambition is to help our customers as much as possible.

If you are going to venture on future trends; what do you think will be important to you at Autoexperten when it comes to the products/services you provide?
Everything is about service, so I say keep the service level high! The car industry is constantly changing and it's important to try to keep up and stay up to date. We will never be able to solve everything but we won't give up before we have made an effort to solve a customer's problem.
